Technical Theatre Certificate of Achievement

This certificate provides for a technical theatre focus for students within the Crafton Hills College Theatre Program that allows them to obtain certifications and seek immediate industry.

THART/S 145	Advanced Theatre Practicum I	3.00
THART/S 134X4	Technical Theatre Workshop	1.00

Note: Only one (1) unit of THART 134X4 is required.

Students must complete twelve 12 additional units from the following courses

THART/S 122	Sound for Stage and Screen	3.00
THART/S 123	Lighting Design Fundamentals	3.00
THART/S 129	Fundamentals of Costume Design	3.00
THART/S 164	Fundamentals of Scenic Design	3.00
THART/S 165	Fundamentals of Stage Makeup	3.00

A student receiving a certificate in this field will be able to:

• Interpret the needs of productions and create design plans through a creative revision process.
• Display competency in a variety of technical theatre skills, including but not limited to: Costuming, Makeup, Lighting, Sound, Stage Management, Scenic Design and other skills which are vital to the operation of theaters.
• Structure a professional portfolio of work to present to prospective employers.
