Liberal Studies Teacher Preparation - Associate of Arts Degree

The Associate of Arts Liberal Studies-Teacher Preparation degree is designed for students intending to transfer to a four-year college or university with the goal of a career in teaching.

The courses in the degree satisfy CHC general education requirements for the associate degree, prepare students for the majority of their lower division courses in education, and fulfills most Cal-GETC general education requirements and the courses needed for a degree in liberal studies at transfer institutions. Students should consult with a counselor for specific information regarding transfer coursework required at the university of their choice.

Length of completion: 24 months total (4 semesters / 2 academic years, full-time at 12 units per semester)

A student receiving a degree in this field will be able to:

• Understand and apply the knowledge and skills of the general education courses at Crafton Hills College.
