CIS 109 Operating Systems and Environments

Operating systems including Windows, Linux/Unix, Mac OS X in a business environment. A strong emphasis will be placed on computer components, operations, functions, and CLI commands. Systems manipulation will include disk management, system install and configuration, utilities, I/O control, customization, memory management, optimization, security and boot methodology. A light emphasis will be placed on operating system virtualization technologies, TCP/IP interaction and ports, automation, and legacy technologies.
