This course prepares students for elementary algebra, MATH 090 or 090A, covering arithmetic operations with rational numbers, emphasis on operations with signed numbers, solving single variable linear equations, combining like terms, ratios, proportions, percents and their applications, perimeter, area, and volume of common geometric figures.
