THART 108 World Drama I

Survey of the history of theater from its earliest origins in 6th century B.C.E to the Elizabethan and Restoration periods in the 18th century. Focus on important plays, playwrights and the development of theater practices and techniques in relationship to cultural, political and social conditions of the time. The study of plays' structure, plot, character and historical relevance. This course is also offered as ENGL 108.  (C-ID THTR 113)
