Numbering of Courses

010 - 099

Multipurpose courses, but not generally applicable to a Baccalaureate degree.

100 - 299

Basic lower division courses applicable to the Associate degree. Courses may also apply to general education courses for a Baccalaureate degree.

300 - 399
Basic upper division courses for a Bachelor’s degree. These courses typically build on foundational knowledge acquired in introductory 100 and 200 level courses. These courses often require more independent thinking and critical analysis, and may involve more complex problem-solving and research.
400 - 499
These courses represent the culmination of a Bachelor’s degree program. They often require students to integrate and apply knowledge gained in earlier courses to real-world situations, or conduct research projects.

500 - 599

Continuing education courses in a Career Technical field. Courses are not applicable to the Associates degree.

900 - 999

Courses not applicable to the Associate degree.
