How to Start a Club or Student Organization

A student seeking to start a new club will need to follow these steps:

  1. Figure out what type of club they would like to create
  2. Team up with four fellow Roadrunners  who are equally passionate about the organization
  3. Partner with a Faculty or Staff member who is willing to serve as the club Advisor
  4. Complete an online club charter application at www.craftonhills.edu/current-students/student-life/clubs/application-for-club-charter, or pick up an application by visiting Student Life
    1. The application will ask the student to:

      - Write a constitution

      - Develop bylaws

      - Choose officers

      - Complete additional items

  5. Submit the completed packet to the Department of Student Life 
  6. The student will receive a phone call within one (1) week notifying them of when the charter will be reviewed by the Student Senate

Note: A member of the organization will be asked to attend a Student Senate meeting to answer any questions the Senate may have.
