CHEM 101 Introduction to Chemistry

Introduction to college chemistry, with an emphasis on general principles of chemistry, including critical thinking, analysis and problem solving in chemistry. Topics include the study of matter, bonding, the periodic table, stoichiometry, chemical reactions, nomenclature and organic chemistry. Laboratory component is both qualitative and quantitative in scope. Critical thinking, writing, measurement, identification and analysis are emphasized.
