RESP 130 Fundamentals of Respiratory Care I

Theoretical application of diagnostic techniques, equipment, and procedures based on the national Clinical Practice Guidelines as well as local standards of practice. Provides basic preparation of the respiratory care student consisting of: An introduction to basic respiratory physiology, pharmacology, arterial blood gas interpretation, regulation of breathing, and basis for treatment modalities, including physical principles relating to medical gases and equipment and solutions for body electrolytes.
