About the College
Crafton Hills College is one of 116 colleges in the California Community College system, the largest system of higher education in the world. Since opening in 1972, the college has served learners of all ages, interests, and backgrounds, providing pathways to higher education, career advancement, personal enrichment, and lifelong learning. As the Inland Empire continues to grow and evolve, Crafton Hills College remains an important resource for workforce preparation, university transfer, and community engagement.
Crafton Hills College is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges, an institutional accrediting body recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation and the U.S. Department of Education. In addition, several career and technical education programs maintain specialized accreditation, including the Basic Firefighter Academy through CAL FIRE and the Office of the State Fire Marshal (OSFM), the EMT program through the Inland Counties Emergency Medical Agency (ICEMA), the Paramedic program through the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP), the Radiologic Technology program through the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT), and the Respiratory Care program through the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC).
The college offers more than 50 majors and programs in the liberal arts and sciences, health sciences, technical and career education, and transfer studies. Students may pursue associate degrees, certificates, transfer preparation, and a bachelor’s degree in respiratory care. Crafton Hills College also offers multidisciplinary degrees in areas such as Fine Arts, Health Sciences, Liberal Studies – Teacher Preparation, and Social Science. The Fire Science and Emergency Medical Services programs are among the most respected community college programs in California, serving as a primary training ground for paramedics throughout San Bernardino and Riverside counties.
