Drugs and Alcohol
Crafton Hills College is committed to protecting the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens it serves by ensuring that a drug-free campus is maintained. The unlawful manufacturing, distribution, dispensing, possession or use of alcohol or any controlled substance is prohibited on District property, during District-sponsored field trips, activities or workshops, and in any facility or vehicle operated by the District.
Violation of this prohibition will result in appropriate action up to and including termination of employment, expulsion, and referral for prosecution, or, as permitted by law, may require satisfactory participation in an alcohol or drug abuse assistance or rehabilitation program.

- All incidents involving the suspicion of drug distribution or the recovery of suspected drugs, contraband or paraphernalia should be immediately reported to the Campus Police Office. An individual finding the suspected item(s) should keep it in their possession until a police officer arrives.
- Illegal involvement with drugs or alcohol on campus will result in disciplinary action by the College, above and beyond any criminal penalties. Disciplinary action may include suspension or dismissal from the College. (SBCCD Administrative Procedure 5500)
- During the year, educational programs are available to increase student and college personnel awareness and knowledge about this subject.
