MUSIC 101 Music Theory I

Music 101 develops skills in music fundamentals (scales, chords, rhythm, notation, etc.) and covers cadences, phrase structure analysis, chord function theory, and four-part voice-leading principles. The lab portion of this course develops rhythmic, melodic, and harmonic materials through ear training, sight singing, analysis, and dictation. (C-ID MUS 120 and MUS 125)
