UC Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG)

Six of the nine UC campuses offer guaranteed admission to California community college students who meet specific requirements:

• UC Davis
• UC Irvine
• UC Merced
• UC Riverside
• UC Santa Barbara
• UC Santa Cruz

By participating in a Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG) program, you will receive early review of your academic records, early admission notification and specific guidance about major preparation and general education coursework.

Students seeking a Transfer Admission Guarantee with one of the six participating campuses must satisfactorily complete UC and campus-specific transfer admission requirements to be eligible.

TAG Application Filing Period

Apply September 1^st – 30^th of the previous year to transfer to a UC the following Fall

Apply May 1^st – 31^st of the previous year to transfer to UC Merced the following Spring

Note: Spring transfer through the TAG program is applicable to the Merced campus only.
