GEOL 190 Geology of the Eastern Sierra Nevada, Northern Section

Discussion and observation of the physical and historical geology and natural history of the northern part of the Sierra Nevada, including Mammoth Mountain and the Long Valley Caldera. Lectures prior to the field study and geologic tools will be utilized to observe, explore, and understand the geology of the area. Student must attend the field trip or complete an approved alternative assignment to successfully complete the course.
